The Directors at Challoch Energy both have previous experience with the implementation and management of quality and environmental management systems.

The idea of achieving certification against these Standards was something that was always in their thinking and they decided that now was the optimum time to go ahead and start the process. The business case for wanting to achieve certification was to help with tender applications and to help internally analyse and improve operational processes.

The process of achieving Certification was explained very clearly and CQS were appointed to carry out the assessments. The assessment was carried out thoroughly and effectively by the appointed assessor who provided advice and guidance regarding the ongoing implementation of the requirements of the respective Standards.

Challoch Energy have found that some of the requirements of ISO 9001 and 14001 have helped them to provide evidence required as part of the supplier approval processes they are subject to. They have found that not only do these certifications help with project tenders but also to improve the internal processes of the business.

The process requirements, as stated in the ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements, are also utilised to help new staff familiarise themselves with the operations of the organisation. We look forward to continuing our ongoing relationship with Challoch Energy and helping them to grow their business.
